[SD] Ocean Beats III w/ Joe Nice, Ana Sia, Thavius Beck 3/13

[]

2010-03-13 @ The Club, Los Angeles, CA

Once again, back is the incredible…OCEAN BEATS

The third installment of the beat-filled evening of dubstep, glitch, hip-hop and crunk that has taken San Diego by storm! Ocean Beats brings you the most All-Star line-up to date with appearances by:

Joe Nice (Baltimore)

One of the founding fathers of the US dubstep movement dropping the heaviest beats and rocking the biggest dance floors through out the world. Nice also founded New York\'s Dub War, which has hosted performances by prominent European and American dubstep artists such as Loefah, Incyde, Kode9, Dave Q, Skream and Hatcha.

Ana Sia (San Francisco)

An Ocean Beats resident and a San Diego fave in the underground movement. Uniting the best elements of dirty dubstep, grimy glitch, and her personalized blend of “global slut psy-hop,” Ana Sia’s sets confirm crunk status of all who dare enter into her world of sound.

Thavius Beck (Los Angeles)

A veteran producer, MC and music maker who has built a reputation for delivering some of the most innovative sounds and lyrics in the electronic and hip hop scenes today. Beck has also worked with the likes of Trent Reznor, The Mars Volta and Saul Williams.

Austin Speed & CRMNL (San Diego)

Two of the hardest workers in the scene, Austin Speed and CRMNL are Sublmnl Sound System. These two know how to move your body with bass that doesn\'t quit and leaves you begging for more.

Addiquit (San Diego)

A scene buzz sweetheart that drops filthy trip hop that has garnered attention well beyond her years. “More electro than hip-hop, Addiquit is living proof that underground rappers aren’t just a myth…she raps over thick electro beats with all the vigor and finesse of Lil’ Kim or Lauryn Hill”.

Holden (San Diego)

Hailing from the Bramble Republic, Holden has spent nearly three years honing a downtempo/midtempo dub sound that will set off the night on a perfect note.
