DLX
DLX aka Doctor Lazarus X came to Los Angeles from North Carolina and hit the hot streets of the city running, performing his first gig as an opener for Kode9 at a Pure Filth show. The crowd was already familiar with his brand of beats however, as cohort Knife Dreams had dropped one of his tracks at a previous Smog party that sent the crowd into ecstatic spasms and had them chanting for a ‘REWIND!’ The man behind the mania was soon signed to the first dubstep label in Los Angeles, Steps in Time Recordings, and went on to release “Matter of Fact” on the SMOG label, a banger that became a massive hit of 2008.
This badman of beats is shows no trace of slowing down; now booked through San Francisco’s Surefire Agencyl. The deep level of skill evident in DLX’s stack of releases and remixes make this resident a most welcome mainstay not only in the local LA dubstep scene, but on dance floors around the world as well.
SLYTEN
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dj Slyten has managed to maneuver his way from his hardcore techno roots into one of LA1s freshest and talented jungle dj1s. His knack for selecting the roughest and hardest cuts has made him a crowd favorite. Playing alongside some of the nations most recognized djs, such as the Berzerker, Doormouse, R.A.W. and Dj Starscream of Slipknot, Slyten has garnered much deserved props not only for his djing techniques but also for his ability to keep the crowd hyped and engaged. Slyten has also recently played back to back with one of the world1s leading jungle producers, General Malice. A new addition to N2O family, be on the lookout for so much more to come!
JVIZ
Brewed and boiled in the caldron that is Los Angeles, JVIZ formed an early following from his explorations into Drum and Bass. 2006 spawned a new love in the form Dubstep and an alteration to the title once known as Jungle Visionary. Today JVIZ is on the forefront of the stateside movement appearing throughout the Los Angeles’ event circuit and hosting the weekly show Earthquake Weather on the infamous DUBSTEP.FM . Lesser DJ’s would have rested there, but JVIZ continued into new avenues as a founder of LA’s BWOMP! collective. As far as having the foresight to help cultivate the only crew in LA combining all of the best in bass genres- the name may have changed, but he remains a visionary.
