For those who have yet to experience it, Dead//Technology is a night of strictly vinyl & dubplates. DJs are billed for specific reasons: either they have a catalog of vinyl with something special about it, or they are purveyors of fresh beats via means of acetate dubplates. There are no laptops, CDs, or MP3 players allowed.

Headlining this particular installment is Los Angeles based SAM XL. Sam’s history in the west coast’s bass music scene is second to none. From playing the largest EDM festivals, to the legendary Temple of Boom… To building one of the most monstrous sub bass-tuned sound systems in the world… Sam is no lightweight when it comes to big tunes and getting the vibes right. I’ve heard rumors about Sam’s “wall of records,” and am excited to see which ones he brings to down San Diego.
If you’ve never seen Sam playing as one of LA’s own The Professionals, or as XXXL in the dnb days, get educated on the man with a plan – and see him doing it all on wax. This is a rare opportunity to glance into perhaps some of the deepest crates on the west coast!

Opening the night will be some of Mexico’s finest selectors, CZR Salad & 20Ten. They have been responsible for pushing bass music in Tijuana, and represent GSK Soundsystem and DubstepMX.
