about the talent + +
SPL :
SPL aka Sam Pool has spent the last decade taking risks and breaking the mold in electronic music. Received internationally, SPL feeds the ears and souls of bassheads worldwide. From thousands of screaming fans in St. Petersburg and Kiev arenas, to massive club nights in Holland and New Zealand, to stateside venues such as the legendary Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado, SPL delivers with passion and musical prowess that goes beyond the current state of dance music. Because of his international experiences and influences, SPL has launched into new territories time and time again.
SPL’s most recent approach forays into the depths of dub-hop infused hyper-bass music. Combining elements from the pulse of an all-night party and a healthy dose of Trap-Star Crunk, a unique and highly energetic experience emerges every time SPL gets on the decks. For those who cannot wait for a show, the same sound and intensity can be found in his recent track “Back at It” or his massive remix of Bassnectar’s “Bass Head”. Either way, SPL is bound to take your head on an intergalactic-bass journey, and leave you begging for more!
OBSIDIAN :
"I pretty much love all electronic music genres such as electro, trance, house and dubstep, but my heart is definitely with Drum & Bass. I was born and raised in Denmark but relocated with my parents to California at the end of the nineties. I am now a trained Sound Engineer, who has been involved in the audio for live concerts for numerous big names, including The Eagles, U2, Pendulum, Tiësto, Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.
Three years ago I was introduced to making electronic music by the Might J.Rabbit and Terravita (Hot Pink Delorean). Combining my professional knowledge of sound with my passion for electronic music, I started to create my own tracks as "Obsidian"."
WE BANG :
We Bang A.K.A. Greg Oerlemans - Dubstep/Electronic music producer from Santa Ana California was signed to Play Me Records with his debut release "Smash the Floor" which was on Beatport's dubstep top ten charts as #1 as well as Beatport's overall genre charts at #32. The release entitled "Summer Smash" includes "Smash the Floor" featured on BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac Mash Up Mix show and Annie Nightingale's Radio 1 Breaks show along with the electro dubstep smasher "Skytop" crowning him Best Breakthrough Artist of the 2010 in Dubstep.
Playing alongside some of Dubsteps greatest DJs and Producers such as Plastician, Downlink, Liquid Stranger, Vaski, Reidspeed, FS and many others We Bang is a product of dubstep sounds filtered into 80's synths and rave stabs wrapped in heavy bass that will take you on a journey of pure dance floor destruction. In 2011 Paula Abduls show "Live to Dance" on CBS had one of the Semifinalists "Dance Town Chaos" use "smash the floor" in part of their dance routine. One of the star judges Kimberly Clark said "Their choice in music gave her that DUBSTEP FLAVOR". With releases on Play Me Records, Sub Chamber Recs, and on Tuff Love Dubbs and remixes for Micky Slim on Cr2 Records and Deekline and Ed Solo's Shake da Pressure remix coming out on Sludge Records 2011 is going t o be another great year for We Bang!
