*About Elk Beats:
Elk Beats is a record label founded by Donnie Valdez (EshOne) and Aaron Zimmermann (Misk). Our goal is to release our music to the public in the most direct route possible: without distribution, through our own website. This helps us accomplish both a better connection with our supporters, and the production of music in a physical format - vinyl. For those who are unfamiliar with our concept: 100% of our label sales go directly to the production of limited vinyl runs of select releases.

Justin Stephenson is one of the few responsible for San Diego's longest running monthly EDM event, Brokenbeat. He has a new album out, Coloures & Memories, on the RogueDubs imprint. Justin's productions are clean, sexy, and very real. Justin's ability to move bodies on the dancefloor is best left unsaid. Those who know, know. Those who don't, come experience.
Mateo
Impeccable selection and endless blending techniques make Mateo one of my favorite deejays; to watch, listen to, and dance to. During a "Mateo Set," one may think, "wait, did he just go from 90s jungle to electro... to classic breaks?" He did. You didn't hear the transitions. There were also 10 more records in between those that you missed. Mateo will blow your mind.

Misk
A live and improvised Monome/Max/MSP based performance of original beats and sound design. Misk is one of the most respected underground beat makers, not only in the nation, but worldwide. With mind bending melodies, on-the-fly drum programming and edits, and experimental sounds, he will create a one of a kind experience that must be felt in person. No mixtape or video can translate through ones senses what he is capable of in real time.
EshOne
Dubplates. Maybe even some CDs. I, EshOne, moved to New Mexico last year. In this time, I have created some really special music - some of which, I do not even want to mix into a "DJ set." This is why I will be performing first. Before I start my set, I will be debuting some new music on the Kava Lounge sound system, each track to be heard in its entirety. Come early, stay late, this will truly be a night of solid music and friends.
